Every character has their own specific home stage.īattle is the default mode in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. There are currently 25 different stages based on familiar locations you may recognize from many Nickelodeon shows. * symbol indicates a character that is a paid DLC fighter. Italics font indicates a character that is a newcomer to the series. On May 13th, it was announced that XJ-9, Hugh Neutron, and Rocko were joining the game as the first premium DLC characters, releasing on May 13th, summer, and fall respectively. 2 more characters joined the roster as downloadable content shortly after launch. The few remaining characters were revealed by game trailers. Many were revealed at launch, while some were accidentally leaked via silhouettes on the box art pictures from retailers. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has a starting roster of 20 characters from various Nicktoons. Attacks against fighters will build up their damage percentage, and the higher the percentage, the farther they get knocked back. Other actions include double jumps, blocking, grabbing and throwing, air dodging, wave-landing, and wavedashing.
Each character can walk, dash, perform light attacks, heavy attacks, and special attacks. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a very complex platform-fighter with many different actions you can perform. The game will utilize rollback netcode, which can bring the online gameplay to a very smooth experience. As of right now, single player and multiplayer with up to 4 players is possible both locally and online. Characters battle on platformed stages in order to knock each other off-screen in order to win.
Unlike the previous titles in the Super Brawl series, which were usually reminiscent and inspired by traditional fighters, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl takes the platform-fighter genre approach, consisting of gameplay similar to the Super Smash Bros.
